When it comes to highly anticipated sales, Amazon Prime Day can’t be beat. And this year, you can save big even sooner, as the multi-day sale will be held in June instead of July.

Entering its 11th iteration, Amazon Prime Day is an opportunity for parents to score big discounts on just about anything your little one needs. In the past, we’ve seen up to 60% off leak-proof diapers, all-in-one car seats, and pregnancy pillows that actually keep you comfy at night. If this is your first time shopping Prime Day with a baby on the brain, here’s everything you should know ahead of the big day, including tips on how to save even more!

When is Prime Day 2026?

Prime Day 2026 is being held in June this year, a departure from the July dates of past years. Exact dates haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll never say no to earlier savings.

How long is Prime Day 2026?

What started as a 24-hour sale in 2015 quickly grew into a two-day shopping event. Last year, Prime Day lasted four days, but it’s unclear if that’ll continue in 2026. To be honest, the extended event didn’t lead to better deals — they just lasted longer so procrastinators could get in on the action. And for rarely-on-sale items, like Tubby Todd’s All Over Ointment, it was a dream.

Do I need a Prime Membership to shop?

If you want to take advantage of Prime Day deals (and the incredible convenience of two-day shipping), a Prime membership is a must-have. Luckily, signing up is simple: Navigate to amazon.com/prime and click “Create Account.”

A membership will run you either $15 per month or $139 for the entire year — a small price to pay if you shop Amazon frequently. Though it’s worth it just for Prime Day. Aside from big-ticket baby gear, the annual sale is a chance to grab household appliances, seasonal necessities, and holiday gifts at a decent price.

But if you’ve been sharing Prime memberships, take note: As of October 2025, Prime membership perks are limited to the account holder and anyone living at the same address.

Still not interested? History tells us there will be plenty of alternative Prime Day sales happening at competing retailers. Target, Nordstrom, and Walmart all typically host sales around the same time, so you should have options.

Can I stack Prime Day deals with my registry completion discount?

Bad news: If you've signed up for an Amazon baby registry, your 15% completion discount can’t be applied. The good news is you can use that coupon as a benchmark to help you shop smarter. For example:

  • If a stroller is 12% off during Prime Day, it makes sense to hold off and use your 15% registry discount later.
  • If a car seat is marked down 25%, that’s likely the best price you’ll see — so grab it while you can.
